Screen Print Services

Screen Printing
is the oldest and
still best way
of printing your
custom t-shirts.
Screen printing
is created by
burning an image
into a mesh screen and then
forcing wet ink through the screen
to create a design or image on the
t-shirts. For this method you will
need a screen for each color in
your design.
Screen printing is a very intense
process and can be costly when
purchasing in small quantities , but
it is well worth the money spent to
have a one of a kind, or an original
design  that will last as long as the
shirt.

What is Screen Printing?

Screen Printing one of the oldest forms of printing apparel and it's also the best and most cost efficeint way of printing on most apparel items. We use Screen Printing is used for printing on apparel, bags, caps, promotional and specialty item.  The process of screen printing is not an easy task , there are alot of steps in the process of creating your custom items.

It all starts with the design,  the design or logo will determine the type of screen printing you will need . We offer the following types of screen printing:

Spot Color - this is used for most jobs with solid colors that do not have shading of   gradient  fills.

CMYK  or 4 Color Process  - This is the process of using Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black to create all the colors in your design.  The ink colors blend together to create all the shading and gradients to create the design. Its uded for printing on white or very light colored garments.

There are times when we add white as a 5th color to underbase darker shirts.

Art for this form of printing is normally very high resolution raster images

Simulated Process Printing - this form of screen printing is used for creating very complicated and complex designs on darker colored shirts.  We use Pantone inks in different halftone drops to create the final image

Halftone – Halftone printing uses shading, gradients and small, barely visible dots to create the desired design. It can help deliver a very realistic-looking print – especially on photos and other images.

Plastisol Screen Transfers - We screen print your design onto transfer paper using plastisol inks for you to heat press onto your garments at a later date. We offer this for  spot color jobs only.

Types of Screen Printing
Types of Inks Offered

We offer a wide range of inks. The ink used in your design depends greatly on the fabric content and shirt color we are printing on.

Here are a few ink choices that we offer:

Plastisol inks – This is our most popular ink beacause it can be printed on mainly any type of material. Plastosol ink can be printed on ligt and dark color fabrics. On lighter color sirts we use a ultrasoft ink and darker color shirts will be printed with a thicker opaque ink to retain brightness. Plastisol inks are printed wet and must be cured with heat to but once dried it froms a permanent bond with the fibers of the fabric it's printed on and can out last your shirt. We can add soft hand reducers to create a soft feel on products.

Waterbased inks – these inks are used on 100% cotton products. We can not use waterbased inks on Polyester or another synthetic fabrics. Water based inks have a really soft touch , you cant feel the print on the shirt. A waterbased ink will give you more of a vintage print and it will not be as vibrant as a plastisol print. These inks seep into the fiber of the shirt and dyes tehm.

High-opacity inks  - this ink is used for  medium for dark-colored fabrics ink. A high opacity ink is a thicker ink that will cover the fabric so it can't been seen through most fabrics. We use high opacity white inks for base colors on darker shirts. The only downfall with high opacity inks is when you layer alot of coors you will get a thick print with a hard hand.

Low-bleed inks – Dye migration – which is when nearby dyes begin to run into one another and sometimes even change color - is a common problem on polyester materials, as well as highly intricate designs where colors are extremely close. Low-bleed inks prevent this migration from happening and ensure the integrity of the design.

Soft-hand inks – Soft-hand inks give you a barely-there print. Perfect for jersey knit T-shirts, you can barely feel the ink once it’s applied. This is great for athletic and sleep wear, too.

Process inks – These inks are used exclusively in process-color printing, and they ensure each individual dot of ink is as sharp and detailed as possible. They’re ideal if you have a highly detailed design.

Athletic inks – Design specifically for athletic uniforms (and the materials they come in), these inks have a durable, high-glass finish that ensures visibility even at a distance. They typically come in minimal colors and hues (white and black are the most commonly used.) They even work on stretchy fabrics like Lycra.

Special effect inks – we offer shimmer inks, glitter inks, puffs, neons and even glow in the dark inks. Speicalty inks cost a little more but are well woth the investment. these inks need to be printed with the proper mesh counts. Ask us if our specialty inks are right for you.
